As I was visiting home last week, my dad brought to my attention that so many friends and family from home keep up with my nomadic lifestyle so I brought this blog to life.  My nomadic lifestyle started once I met my now husband in college at Southern Miss at the young age of 20.  Who knew then God had a fun, crazy lifestyle in store for me?!  In college, my roommate Bayli and I moved 3 times in a span of 2 years (and I thought that was a lot).  God was preparing me for a lifestyle of the nomads.  So, fast forward a little bit and my husband has lived in Carthage, TX; Hattiesburg, MS; Aberdeen, MD; Salisbury, MD; Frederick, MD; Dunedin, FL; Manchester, NH; Buffalo, NY and Toronto, ON (I guess I can add in San Marco de Pedro, Domincan Republic; he played winter ball there this past winter).  I started traveling with S in 2013 after our wedding in October 2012.  I have lived in Dunedin, Manchester, Buffalo and Toronto.

Out of all the seasons, this has been the craziest and most exciting season yet.  S finally got the phone call he has worked his whole life for.  He made his major league debut on May 2nd in Cleveland, OH.  He also got his first career win against the Marlins on June 10th after throwing 7 innings of 1 run ball.  We have gotten called up and optioned 5 times already this season. For those of you who don’t know what “Optioned” means here goes a quick definition.  S was added to the 40 man roster and called up to the 25 man active roster and then optioned back down to AAA Buffalo 5 times.  Every baseball player has 3 years of options until they run out then either they have to stay up with the big league team (25 man roster) or have go be “designated for assignment” which means taken off the 40 man roster and any team is eligible to pick up a player.  We have been so blessed and thankful for the opportunity and wouldn’t change it for anything.

All star break is over and now its time for the second half.  The three days was a much needed break for rejuvenation going into the latter part of the season.  I know this was a short post, but I will continue to write and keep you updated!
